Smarties Car Care carry out lease car repairs for our customers both during the lease period or at the end, when it’s time to return their vehicle.
Returning a damaged lease vehicle can often result in expensive and unexpected charges for even minor repairs. We offer a no-obligation inspection of your car or van for which we abide by the ‘Fair Wear and Tear’ industry standard used by lease companies and the terms set out in your lease hire agreement.
We offer end of lease packages depending on the work required. We also offer discounts on company car contracts.
End of Lease Repair Packages
After we’ve inspected your car, we will put together a recommended package at a fixed cost.
We will check:
The alloy wheels – even small scratches and scuffs are chargeable on return – we can fix these for you.
The body work – scrapes, scuffs and small dents – these can be repaired mid-lease or at the end of the lease to save you heafty return fees. We will colour match your car paint and respray if necessary.
The tyres – worn or damaged tyres are a common problem for any car. We sell new and part work tyres in our tyre shop. We stock a full range of brands.
Cleanliness – all returns need to be thoroughly clean both inside and out. Our smart valet service will take care of this for you.

Industry Standards
The governing body overseeing vehicle leasing is the British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association (BVLRA). They provide a Fair Wear and Tear Guide to produce this standard for when a vehicle is returned to a leasing company.
You will also find details about returns in your individual leasing company’s terms and conditions. Here they will state what they will accept as ‘fair wear and tear’ and we recommend you read this carefully or bring it along to for us to check to avoid unexpected charges.
